Charlie Simpson, a seven-year-old boy raised more than $240,000 for the Haiti earthquake. This kid form Fulham, London had in mind to raise £500 to help Haiti by cycling five miles around a local park. He wanted to make some money so he could buy food, water, and tents for everyone in Haiti. He made a web page that was a fundraiser page for Haiti. A lot of people entered the site and began to donate. More donations began pouring in and then he passed the £100,000 mark thanks to the British media. The money raised by Charlie Simpson will go to UNICEF's Haiti Earthquake Children's Appeal that will pay for water, sanitation, education, nutrition, and child protection.
We think that if a boy of 7 years old can raise that amount of money, we can raise much more. That is a nice boy and very intelligent. We also think that its very nice that a boy such age can think so strongly about Haitians that he actually could make $240,000. He has a lot of courage.
