Date: November 8, 2009

Authors: Jacqui Jeras and Merlin Delcid

This article talks about hurrican Ida is moving into southern Gulf of Mexico. Making concerns in Lousiana and U.S. Gulf Coast. Last week the hurricane was Category 1, and after Saturday night, the hurricane attacked fiercly and became a Category 2 hurricane. Ida was expected to become weaker before it reached the U.S., but it could bring heavy rain. Heavy rains will be expected in parts of the south this week because of Ida. According to the National Weather Service there were 91 deaths in El Salvador due to another system.

We thought this article was interesting because it affects a lot of parts in Central America and in the U.S. We also hope that in the future there won't be another hurricane this bad. Hurricanes can be very distructive because of the power the hurricane contains. They are a force of nature that creates chaos and concerns.
